Green Texas sage is a semi-evergreen native shrub with green foliage and purple flowers. It is an excellent shrub that works both as a specimen and planted in groupings. Texas sage is drought tolerant and prefers deep and infrequent watering once established. It cannot handle wet feet but is not fussy otherwise. Planted in full sun and with good drainage, this Texas tough shrub will delight with its attractive foliage and arresting blooms. Trim to shape in late winter or early spring before buds form, and again in early summer if needed.
