Rough Gayfeather is a showy, drought-tolerant perennial featuring pinkish to lavender flowers. It works well in perennial borders, rock gardens or low-growing dry meadows.
Rough Gayfeather likes a dry to medium soil and a sunny spot. It sometimes needs two years before blooming. Overwatering will cause root rot. Pollinators flock to Rough Gayfeather and the seeds are eaten by birds.
