Lonicera sempervirens (Coral Honeysuckle 'Major Wheeler')

Coral Honeysuckle is a twining native vine prized for its long clusters of tubular red-and-yellow flowers that hummingbirds can't resist. 'Major Wheeler' is a superior cultivar: it blooms more heavily and for longer than the species, from spring through fall, with very little letup. It is vigorous but well-behaved — not invasive like Japanese honeysuckle — and adapts to sun or part shade. Tolerates drought once established. Train on a trellis, fence, or through a shrub.
