Woodland Phlox ‘Blue Moon’ is nativar marked by outstanding flower color and very full flower petals. Flowers are slightly fragrant. ‘Blue Moon’ creates a long-lived groundcover for shade or partial shade and medium moisture soils. It spreads slowly by rhizomes. It responds poorly to urban pollution, so it is best planted in a relatively sheltered location.
Woodland Phlox attracts butterflies, including swallowtails, gray hairstreaks, and western pygmy blues.
