Salvia 'May Night' has outstanding fuzzy deep purple flower spikes. Foliage is rough textured and aromatic. It is drought tolerant and needs good drainage. Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil.Tolerates very light shade.
Flowers bloom in May and June and may re-bloom sporadically into late summer if faded flowers are cut back. Excellent fresh cut flower. Deep violet-blue color provides excellent contrast in the perennial border. Very effective in combination with pink flowering plants.
